Robert Murray M'Cheyne was a Scottish minister who lived from 1813-1843. While his ministry was short, it was indeed powerful. One of the lasting legacies he left us was this Bible reading plan which takes readers through the New Testament and Psalms twice per year, and through the rest of the Bible once per year by reading an average of only 4 chapters per day.
Below you will see a day of the week, then the four selected readings. One of the great things about this plan is that it is date based. If you miss a day, that's ok! Simply read the current day's selection.
M'Cheyne originally intended for the first two selections to be read together as a family, and the second two to be read in private. Regardless if this idea is followed or not, the more people from our church who read along each day, the better we can learn from each other when we get together.
Thanks for joining us in this exciting reading plan!
