LOVE GOD

- Ladies Paint Party! - May 18, 10am, at The Branch. RSPV with the church office here and pay ($22) at the event. Snacks provided. Buy your drink before you head upstairs.
DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE
- Spiritual Disciplines - spiritual disciplines are ways to place yourself in a position to hear from and experience God. Over the next several weeks, information will be listed here to give you resources on trying various disciplines. The primary requirement is a longing for God (Psalm 42:1-2). He is the object of our worship, so the focus is Him rather than "getting it right" or checking a box.
- "None of these disciplines have the power to change us. Only God can do that. We cannot make ourselves holy no matter what we do or don't do. We are saved by grace and sanctified the same way - by grace and not by any action or abstinence we schedule in our calendar of devotion. Only God's grace can make us become what we ought to be." - Keith Drury
- Study (Deut. 11:18; Psalm 119:9, 11; John 8:32; Rom. 12:2; James 1:22-25) - directing the mind repeatedly and regularly toward certain modes of thought about God and human relationships.
- Choose any passage of Scripture. If you are unsure, go to the gospels - studying Jesus is the best way to get to know God. Read the passage 2-3 times, concentrating on what is being said. Comprehend the context. Reflect.
- Discover Your Purpose Class – What is your great joy and passion in life? How has God uniquely gifted you to make an impact for His Kingdom? This interactive class is designed to help you find your identity in Christ, learn your spiritual gifts, and discover how you were uniquely designed to make a difference in the world. The next class is offered May 21, 6-8pm at Luedtke’s house (6629 SE 00 W, Jonesboro). Supper is provided. Sign up here by May 19.
- Discover Your Purpose 2 Class - all new! If you have been through the first Discover Your Purpose Class, then this sequel class is for you! DYP2 promotes a deeper connection with God by teaching rhythms to intentionally set our lives on Jesus. It's about spiritual transformation. As in DYP1, this class will be interactive and discussion-oriented but more meditative in nature. Supper and a free book is provided for each participant. - As we look toward late summer, we are hopeful for the Branch service to start back up. If you would be interested in volunteering to help with tech, hospitality, worship, etc. at this new venue, please let Pastor Jeff know here
- Vacation Bible School - July 15-18 is our VBS for kids Pre K-6th grade. If you're interested in leading children to Jesus, fixing snacks, playing games, etc., please contact Samantha Mason here or text her at (765) 661-9683
