November 16-December 7 - Christmas tags will be available to buy for those in need at Christmas. All gifts must be returned to FWC by Dec. 7
November 23 - FWC's Friendsgiving carry-in after church at Fairmount Camp dining hall
December 7 - Chili/Grilled Cheese lunch fundraiser for Erin & Emily Martin (see Make a Difference below)
December 14 - Children's Program during the worship service

Listening - Listening to another is a lost art in today's world. Many people are starving for someone to slow down and listen, yet busyness or the need to be heard gets in the way. Consider some of these methods to connect to others by making an effort to listen.
- Build in extra time - at the grocery store, before/after work or church, at a meal with family, plan to linger a little longer so you aren't rushing someone through a story
- Full attention - set aside phones and give others your full attention - this builds trust!
- Practice SOLER - Squarely face the person; have an Open posture; Lean in; make Eye contact; Relax

Memorize Scripture - over the next 6 weeks, a new way of memorizing Scripture will be listed here. Give it a try! Be ambitious with getting God's Word in your heart (Psalm 119:11).
- #2 - Repetition - read/say the verse 20 times. Say the verse from memory 10 times. Say the verse without mistake 5 times.
  - Another way to repeat a word is with a white board, index cards, paper plates, or anything you can find around the house. Write one word on each card and repeat the verse over and over as you take away a word at a time.
- Need some verses to memorize? Try these: Exodus 14:14; Philippians 1:6; Psalm 143:8; Psalm 139:23-24; Psalm 19:14; Ephesians 2:10

Parking/Seating - our church is growing! We are seeing more baptisms and consistent visitors. If you are able and willing, please consider creating more space for parking by parking in Fairmount Market's parking lot as well as watching for those who need a seat in the sanctuary. Be prepared to scoot toward the middle of your row and/or give up your seat for those without one. When needed, metal folding chairs are at the bottom of the northwest staircase (by door #2). Thank you for making a difference in this way!
Martin Luncheon Fundraiser - Sy Sparks will be cooking chili and grilled cheese as a luncheon fundraiser for our beloved Erin and Emily Martin. Emily, age 12, has been battling leukemia. Let's save the date to support them. Lunch will be served after church and donations accepted. Location TBD
