Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Fairmount Wesleyan Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
We believe in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - the Trinity.
We believe a person is lost without Christ and one needs a personal relationship with Christ to be saved.
We believe Christ died for all men and women and none can be saved except through Christ's sacrifice on the cross.
We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word to us and that it is authoritative in guiding us in what to believe and how to live as Christ followers.
We believe in Jesus Christ's virgin birth, His sinless life, His death and resurrection, and His promised return in the future.
We believe in the afterlife; all will be resurrected and judged by God with heaven or hell as our final destination.
We believe in the church, the collective group of Christian believers; we believe God works through this body here on earth.
We believe in an active work of the Holy Spirit, God's invisible presence today on earth, to guide, direct, and draw people to live a transformed, Christ-like life.
